What'm I Doing Lately?

I’m looking for a DevOps/Site Reliability Engineer role in the SF Bay Area (hybrid) or anywhere in the US (remote), as I live in Benicia, CA. For more about my background, and a resume download, refer to the about page.

Shion

Shion is my alerting and notification hub. Instead of every agent, website, and scheduled job having its own way to reach me, they all call one API, and Shion delivers the alert to me over Discord. It’s built in TypeScript on Bun with Elysia and Discord.js, runs in Docker on my own server, and is reachable only over Tailscale.

AI-Usage

AI-Usage is a Windows tray app that shows my Claude and OpenCode Go usage. I’m also working on an Android home-screen widget version.

Infrastructure

My infrastructure is defined as code. I use OpenTofu, run through Terragrunt, to manage my DigitalOcean dev and prod servers, so rebuilding or changing a host is a reviewed change instead of clicking through a console. Shion is the first service being deployed to them.

How I’m working

I use Claude for planning and memory, OpenCode for implementation, and T3 Code to run agents and subagents in threads. I’m also working on a “shared memory” setup that makes it easier for all of my agents to have access to a memory no matter where I run them, but that’s still being heavily experimented on 😅
