Shion is my alerting and notification hub. Instead of every agent, website, and scheduled job having its own way to reach me, they all call one API, and Shion delivers the alert to Discord.
- Built in TypeScript on Bun, with Elysia for the REST API and Discord.js for delivery.
- Runs in Docker on Ubuntu Server 26.04.
- GitHub Actions builds it and deploys it over SSH.
- The hosts are only reachable over my Tailscale tailnet, so nothing is exposed to the public internet.
- It’s also the test case for deploying to my new dev and prod servers, AICDEV00 and AICPRD00, behind Caddy (see Infrastructure).
